PDC Summer 2013

Wow! It were an amazing two weeks here at La Saladou. With about 40 participants the Permaculture Design Course 2013 with Andy & Jessy Darlington was a big succes. We’ll post some images and movies of the event soon!

Permaculture Design Course Summer 2013

As it is seen now we will host a two weeks Permaculure Design Course this August! The organisation of this French course is in the hands of The Permaculture et Transition en Pays Catalan (www.permaculture.cat).

The main teachers of this course will be Andy and Jessie Darlington.

We are very proud and honoured to co-create this great event!

Flowers, blossom, fresh green leaves and vegetables.

It is a wonderful time here at Saladou, everywhere you look nature is exploding;

The side of the road is filled with flowers…

the trees are unfolding fresh green leaves…

bushes and fruit trees filled with blossom…

and the hugels with mulch and vegetables. Beautiful!!!!!!!!

Spring is in the air!!!

There are still cold nights but during the day the sun stimulates nature to start growing and blooming. A truly beautifull time of the year!

Ready for seeding

After moving a lot of wood, manure and soil the three new raised beds in the second vegetable garden are ready to be sown. The electric fence will keep out uninvited guests (deer, fox, boar, cats). The first onions and garlic are already sprouting in the first bed and the patatoes are planted!
